I want 'Let the day begin' by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club played at my funeral with the full video showing all the stupid shit that makes life worth living.
Back to Dave Denny it contains the words 'here's to the fighters of the bitter wars, here's to the wall that bears their names'
...and to my daughter, 'here's to you my love, let the day begin'.

Shit I've loads but then again I don't have a single song that applies to the 'for no apparent reason' bit of the question.
Anyway, my starter for ten has to be You And I Will Meet Again by Tom Petty. I've found that one sticks in my throat after losing a very special pal, the first but sadly not the last.

"She's leaving home" The Beatles. Reminds me of when my daughter left for university 500 miles away. I delivered her to her halls and stayed overnight. We couldn't face each other when the time came for me to leave. Driving down the motorway "Wild World" by Cat Stevens came on. The lyrics were just so topical and had me in floods. Soppy old sod.

It's a release mechanism.
I don't have a song that makes me cry for no reason, but do have one that was.played at my brothers funeral and I am.actually too scared to listen to it. I think I could start crying and meed medical.intervention.to stop.
